Sita Joyeh  otherwise known as Baobab Island is located in the Kombo East in the historic village of Kuloro. The beautiful Island was for over 200 years occupied by Bainunka, a tribe which originated from Guinea Bissau. Bainunkas are believed to be very good pottery makers, palm wine tappers, oyster collectors and farmers.

Sita Joyeh  is 45 minutes drive from the main hotel area and only 30 minutes drive from the Banjul International Airport. The  consists of high quality standard accommodation with a first class service and a Bantaba type conference facility. The activities in and around the Island include bird watching, fishing as well as cultural encounters with the communities.
